Synopsis-Premise-Treatment

Premise:

Hell is being inspected by OH&S, and deemed to be unsafe.  The Inspector begins to shut it down, but dies, and his ghost arrives to shut it down.

Synopsis:
Hell is being inspected by OH&S.  The Inspector rattles off a list of things that are unsafe with the place, and Lucifer is increasingly annoyed about it.  As The Inspector goes to shut it down, Lucifer stamps his foot, which causes a crack in the ground to swallow The Inspector.  His ghost then arrives to shut it down.

Treatment:
The camera pans around Hell, showing the caverns and the fire.  There are signs saying things such as “Welcome to Hell”, “Elton John Tribute Show”, and “Health Spa That Way”.  The Inspector emerges from a door and walks to a large pair of legs, which belong to Lucifer.  The Inspector tells Lucifer he has some concerns, and begins to list them, beginning with the lack of fire extinguishers.  As he does, Lucifer gets annoyed, tries to explain the different problems, and back chats, but The Inspector ignores him and continues on, with things such as ‘The roller coasters exceeds the legal limit’, and ‘The TV’s are playing that ‘Joey’ spin off on a loop”.  Lucifer asks for it to be overlooked, but The Inspector mentions the cracks in the ground, the bats in the piano hall, and the chains in Mr Wilhelm’s room are hurting him.  He pauses as ‘the Wilhelm scream’ plays.  He then tells Lucifer he’s shutting him down.  Lucifer yells and stamps his foot, which causes the ground to shake.  A crack in the ground opens and The Inspector falls through.  The shaking suddenly stops and The Inspector arrives again as a ghost.  He hands over the shut down notice, and says “Nice try”
